Adom Tetteh

Adom Tetteh was born in 1968 in Berlin as the son of a German mother and Liberian Father. Between 1988 and 1995 he studied political studies and geoscience at the ‘Freie Universität Berlin’. In this time he worked in designing film sets as a set artist and stage coordinator. Later he inherited the artistic management of special designs, simulations and graphical contract work in the private and public spheres. Adom Tetteh, father of four, lives and works as a painter and sculptor in Berlin.

Adom Tetteh explores the relationship between body and space. His searches for a solution through the use of sculptures, ornaments and paintings and adopts a figure which is quirky, grand and physical despite its fragility and in which the gestural sign is of central importance.
